HealthStar International, Inc. was incorporated as a Texas company in 1996 when its founders identified critical workforce needs for highly educated, highly skilled physical and occupational therapists by hospitals and clinics. Despite the top-notch training in the U.S., the demand by hospitals and clinics for physical and occupational therapists outpaced the U.S.-trained supply. Therefore, HealthStar began as a temporary staffing agency for these rehabilitation professionals. Physical and occupational therapists were placed on temporary assignments with healthcare companies all around the U.S.

In 1998, HealthStar International, Inc. expanded recruitment efforts to include Bachelor degree prepared Registered Nurses. HealthStar representatives made their first recruitment trip for nurses in the Philippines in November of 1998.

To date, healthcare professionals have been recruited from India, Ireland, England, Australia, China, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, the Bahamas, and the Philippines. The successful partnership with our local, regional, and national clients continues to build our solid reputation in the foreign recruitment industry.

In 2019, company HealthStar International, LLC was founded in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. HealthStar Texas and HealthStar Oklahoma uniquely joint ventured to recruit international talent for U.S.-based hospitals and clinics, and provide outstanding customer service along the way. In 2023, the businesses were merged under the HealthStar International, LLC.
